"The best victory is the one that you have on yourself."
                                                                           - Friederich Von Logau

Life Coaching focuses on aspects where one needs the greatest support. Ask yourself:

  • If  I continue on the way things are now, how will my future look in 1 year, in 5, and in 10 years?
  • What could possibly accelerate my evolution?
  • What are my goals? Are they based on my real values?coaching1
  • Am I really happy most of the time?
  • Where am I now in a relationship and where do I want to be?
  • Do I live and work in an appropriate environment?
  • Do I have a clear view on my interests, talents and values?
  • When I think at my future, do I feel peaceful and calm?
  • Are people treating me the way I deserve?
  • Do I have everything I need? Am I grateful for what I have now?
  • Is my mind free of worries, regrets and self-accusations?

Each coach’s responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify and work on what the client wishes to obtain;
  • Encourage the client to self-discover himself;
  • Choose the strategies and solutions chose by the client himself;
  • Maintain and sustain the client’s responsibility.

In everuy coaching session ,the person chooses the topic of the conversation,while the coach listens and contribues with observations and clarifying questions. Such interaction brings clarity to the person’s thoughts and leads him to focusing more on action. Coaching is focused on the current situation of the client and on what he would like to obtain in the near future.

How is Life Coaching different than consulting, therapy, and having a friend who supports you?

coaching2It is not consulting. Consulting implies giving an advice, an expertise, you say to people what they should do. Coaching involves assisting the person in finding solutions on his own. A coach starts from the idea that the client has all the necessary resources to change himself, he has even the ability to discover and use these resources. Interestingly, people progress much faster when they are not given solutions from the outside.

It is not a therapy. Therapy brings understanding of the past and has as aim the passage from one dysfunctional state to a functional state, while coaching proposes the transition from one functional state to an optimal state. Unlike psychoanalyses, coaching focuses on the present of the client- he sits near the client helping him to identify challenges, and then works with the client in order to change them, focusing on strengthening his abilities.

Friends are extraordinary in life, but they cannot always be as objective as a coach. A coach offers a different perspective on the truth because he is not emotionally involved in the relationship.

How long does coaching last?

Most coaching commitments are of minimum 3 months, but there is the possibility of dropping out a coach immediately if this partnership does not work in the benefit of the client.
